Norton Rose Fulbright advises InfraRed Capital Partners on investment in JOLT Energy

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised InfraRed Capital Partners on a 150 million Euro investment in electric mobility company JOLT Energy. With this financial support, JOLT Energy will further expand its network of urban fast-charging stations for electric cars in Germany, Europe and the United States, thereby promoting the spread of electric mobility.

InfraRed Capital Partners, with offices in London, New York, Seoul and Sydney, is an international investment manager infrastructure assets that play a vital role in supporting communities. The company has been in existence for over 20 years and has many years of experience investing in renewable energy and battery technology. 

JOLT Energy Limited, based in Dublin and Munich, is an operator of e-charging stations. The company aims to drive the global shift to battery-powered electric vehicles. In doing so, JOLT Energy is focusing on introducing ultra-fast charging in urban areas where the majority of drivers reside. InfraRed's investment will allow JOLT to deploy thousands of ultra-fast charging stations with a capacity of up to 320 kW in urban areas. This allows an electric car to be fully charged within 20 minutes.

The law firm Norton Rose Fulbright advised on the German part of the transaction as well as the German, US and Dutch parts of the due diligence.
